NAVPAK VERSION 17.0 (MAR 2006)
NEW FEATURES AND ENHANCEMENTS

TURN OFF PASTING OF WEB SITES IN PASSENGER NOTES IN SCHEDULER When you paste FBO or Hotel information into the Passenger Notes, you have a “Click to Exclude web addresses when pasting” button .

PASSENGER NUMBERS PRINTED ON PASSENGER MANIFEST IN SCHEDULER REPORTS This Passenger number is useful if the Manifest is split between two pages in the Report.

DISPLAY “US” IN SCHEDULER REPORTS Sometimes States and Countries have the same 2-letter State/Country code. Printing “US” after domestic State codes helps clarify.

CLIENT/BROKER CONTACT” TEMPLATE WITH POSTING FROM HEADER SCREEN IN SCHEDULES This new Template will include information entered into the Client/Crew Information screen.

MORE CREW CAPTIONS IN SCHEDULER Previous versions of NAVPAK allowed the Client/Corp name in the Scheduler report headers to be set to either “Client” or “Cabin”, but the Crew headers were fixed at “Capt.” and “First.” Now, a new Menu Bar option allows you to toggle the right seat designation between “1 st Officer”, “Co-Captain”, and “Co-Pilot.” These selections will display in the Pilot Schedule, Passenger Schedule, or Pilot Schedule with Legnotes as “First,” “Co-Capt,” or “Co-Pilot”. These new titles can reflect changing reporting relationships in the cockpit. Note: since “Co-Capt” and “Co-Pilot” are longer designations that “First,” a long Crewmember name might get truncated, perhaps necessitating the use of a first initial.

INVOICE PROVIDED” WITH SIX-LINE ADDRESS IN BIDDER More room has been provided in the Bid to show long addresses and “Invoice Provided” headers .

NOTIFICATION IN SCHEDULER IF A DATE IS SAVED IN THE BIDDER If you save a date in the Bidder, then go to the Scheduler and return to the Bidder, the date in the Scheduler overwrites the date in the Bidder. A pop-up in the Scheduler now informs you of this situation.

$3.30 SEGMENT FEE FOR 2006 IN BIDDER The Domestic Segment Fee increases from $3.20 to $3.30.

TYPE IN # PAX DROPDOWN IN BIDDER Number of Passengers can now be typed as well as pasted.

SCHEDULE NUMBER CAN BE PASTED INTO BID – The Project Number dropdown on the Type of Usage/Project Number screen now includes “Schedule No.” If you click on that option, the Schedule Number will appear on the Bid and Invoice.

This Report previously showed data for only one month .

NEW “USER DEFINED” PAX REPORT IN MONTHLY PLANNER This is a new Statistics Report by Key Passenger. It reports by Month, Year, or Year-to-Date on selected Statistics fields, with totals. .

TRIP ROUTING AVAILABLE IN “USER DEFINED” REPORTS The Monthly Planner “User Defined” Statistics reports now can display either Duty Start, Stop and Differential, or Trip Routing waypoints, by selecting the preferred option from the Menu Bar. MONTHLY PLANNER CALENDARS REPORT FIRST, SECOND, AND THIRD TRIPS PER DAY, AS WELL AS ALL THREE TRIPS PER DAY This includes all Calendar Reports. All other Monthly Planner Reports show all three trips per day per aircraft .

DOUBLE-CLICK PERSONAL AIRPORT LISTING TO ACCESS AIRPORT SEARCH SCREEN WITH PERSONAL AIRPORT LISTED Traditionally, you had to quit the Personal Airport screen to get to the Airport Search main screen. Now you can double-click on the Personal Airport listing to exit to that Personal Airport listing in Airport Search.

PERSONAL FBOS ACCESSIBLE ON REMOTE DRIVES – From the Non-Standard Directories screen, you can set Personal Airports & FBOs to Alternate Path, and access both from a remote drive or Server.

NEW CREW STATS & CURRENCY MODULE – This new NAVPAK module is similar in scope to the PAX NAMES & ADDRESSES form, used for keeping track of Passenger data. This module keeps track of Crewmember information, including Address, Place of Birth, Citizenship, Social Security, Passport, Driver’s License, and Alien Registration numbers and expiration dates. An alternate screen records Credit Card, Telephone Number, and Email information. Another alternate screen keeps track of Part 297 and 299 expirations, Medical expiration, and Part 293 expirations for first and second aircraft, with colored balls indicating status. Crew names can be pasted into this module from the Monthly Planner.

TIMEKEEPER REPORTS MORE ACCESSIBLE – The Monthly Duty, Flight, and Times Events report which displayed Time or Frequency Entries was previously only available from the Grid Display screen. Now this report is available from all Timekeeper screens, as are all of the Timekeeper reports.

EXPANDED TIMEKEEPER 12-MONTH REPORT – The new Timekeeper 12-Month Summary now includes data on the five Time or Frequency Entries, with quarterly and yearly totals.

NEW TIMEKEEPER REPORT COMPARES PERFORMANCE OF SIX CREW MEMBERS – This new Timekeeper report is a 12-Month display, including quarterly and yearly totals, presenting accumulated Duty and Flight hours for up to six crew members.

MONTHLY PLANNER LISTS CAN BE UPDATED SEQUENTIALLY – Previously, each Monthly Planner List had to be accessed separately, then closed, then the next List selected and opened. Now, each List screen features the option Set Up or Modify Other Lists in the Menu Bar at the top of the screen. This streamlines the List creation and modification process.

SELECT ANOTHER MONTH OR AIRCRAFT IN “YOUR TEXT” CALENDAR CREATION – It is now possible to select another date range or aircraft in the creation mode of the Monthly Planner’s “Your Text” Calendar.

GRAPHIC DISPLAYS IN VERTICAL AND FLEET CALENDARS – The Monthly Planner Data Entry screen now includes a Trip Start and a Trip Stop field. Times should be entered into these fields in 24-hour military format, like “0930" or “2350". When data is entered into these fields, the Vertical Calendar and Fleet Calendar can then display this data in graphic form. The graphic display for the Vertical Calendar will indicate whether the trip is the first, second, or third of the day, while indicating which crew members served on each flight. The graphic display for the Fleet Calendar uses six different colors to differentiate between six different aircraft, and splits each month into two pages in order to graph all pertinent data.

FIRST, SECOND, AND THIRD TRIPS DIFFERENTIATED ON SCREEN – The new Monthly Planner Data Entry screen now includes a Data entry form - Options button that incorporates the functions of the Save, Month Stream, and Modify or View Times & Amounts buttons. This button also calls a SHOW all trips this month function, which shows separate calendars for First, Second, and Third flights of the days.

“TSA LIST NUMBER” IN PILOT SCHEDULES – Previously, if you created a Passenger Manifest in the Scheduler module, the headings “TSA No-fly List,” “Photo ID check,” and “O’night parking” displayed next to the Manifest headings, so that check marks could be made next to passenger names. Now, “TSA List number” has been substituted for “O’night parking” on the Pilot Schedule and Pilot Schedule with Legnotes.

EUROPEAN TOWER PHONE NUMBERS – This data is made available for the first time, greatly expanding the Tower telephone number data base.

RETAIN DISCOUNT CHANGING AIRCRAFT – If you enter a Discount or other Adjustment on the Bidder screen, then access Waypoint Entry and click on the SELECT another Aircraft button, you will be prompted as to whether you wish to retain the current percentage discount/adjustment. If you click on Yes, the adjustment will be applied to the new Gross Aircraft Charge.

FBO ADDRESSES – FBO street addresses, including city, state, and zip code, are now available in Airport Search. When you click on an FBOs listing, an FBO Details screen displays. The left-hand display, which contains telephone number, frequency, credit card, fuel brand, location, and business hours, can now be scrolled to reveal the address information. FBO street addresses can be pasted into the Leg Notes of the Passenger Schedule. Although the street addresses do not display on the View screen, they will paste with the rest of the FBO’s data unless you click on the Click to exclude FBO addresses when pasting button.

PRICE RANGES IN HOTEL SEARCH – Now Hotel Search listings for all countries except the United States and Canada will display price ranges in the Hotel Details section of the program. The Price Range displays in the Rate field to the right of the data in the Drive mi from airport field. This data will paste into the Pilot and Passenger Schedules from the Data Resources button, but not from the Pax Notes Leg dropdowns.

MORE AIRPORT DIAGRAMS – AC-U-KWIK has furnished NAVPAK with many new Airport Diagrams, particularly for non-US locations. 144 new Airport Diagrams have been added to the 17.0 release, bringing the total number of Airport Diagrams to nearly 700. These diagrams can be viewed by accessing an airport in Airport Search and clicking on the Apt.Diagram button. The Airport Diagram for that airport will display, (if one is available), along with a dropdown allowing access to all other Airport Diagrams in the database.

WHAT’S NEW IN NAVPAK VERSION 17.01

OPTIONALLY ADD/REMOVE BOLD TO PASSENGER SCHEDULE — The NAVPAK Passenger Schedule has traditionally displayed the Dates and Departure/Arrival Cities in bold. If you would like to suppress this bolding, access the Passenger Schedule Preview screen and click on “Display Options”. Then put the cursor on the “Toggle to add bold to Passenger Schedule” option and click on “Remove bold highlights”. You can restore the bolding by clicking on “Add bold highlights to date and destination”. (Note: this option only works with the Passenger Schedule.)

THE ‘US’ IN SCHEDULER REPORTS MAY BE HIDDEN — When AC-U-KWIK aligned its country codes with the ISO standard, we found that some state codes in the US and province codes in Canada were duplicated in other parts of the world. To reduce confusion, we decided to insert ‘US’ after the state codes in the Pilot and Passenger schedules, to differentiate them from the country codes of non-US locations. To remove this extra information for USA only flights, access the Pilot or Passenger Schedule Preview screen and click on “Display Options”. Then put the cursor on the “Toggle to hide the ‘US’ (USA) after city and state” option and click on “Do not show the US after city and state”. You can restore the ‘US’ display by clicking on “Show the US after city and state”.

A “LEFT SEAT” TOGGLE ADDED ON SCHEDULE HEADER SCREEN — The initial release of NAVPAK 17.0 included the ability to toggle the titling of the pilot in the “right seat” in the Schedule Header screen between ‘1 st Officer’, ‘Co-Captain’, and ‘Co-Pilot’. Now it is also possible to toggle the “left seat” titling. To do this, access the Schedule Header screen and click on “Set Crew Captions”. Then click on either Set left seat to ‘Chief Pilot’ or Set left seat to ‘Captain’.

SUPPRESSION OF THE ‘OPEN’ LINE IN MONTHLY PLANNER CLASSIC CALENDAR — The Monthly Planner’s Classic Calendar automatically formats data that has been entered into the Monthly Planner’s data entry screen. If you haven’t entered crew member names for a trip, the text “crewmember open” will display for each uncommitted crew field. If you would like to suppress this text, access the Classic Calendar and click on “Display Options”. Then put the cursor on the “Toggle to suppress Crewmember Open statement” option and click on “Yes, suppress ‘Open’ statement”. You can restore the ‘Open’ display by clicking on “No, show line when applicable”.

NOW SELECT A DIFFERENT AIRCRAFT WHILE IN THE CLASSIC CALENDAR DISPLAY — To speed up the process of printing Classic Calendars for multiple aircraft in the Monthly Planner, it is now possible to select multiple aircraft without exiting the Calendar preview-print screen. To do this, access the Classic Calendar and click on “Alternate display choices” in the Menu Bar at the top of the screen. Then click on “Show Alternate Aircraft for Calendar”. A pop-up headed Select aircraft for another calendar will display, listing all of the aircraft in your Monthly Planner Aircraft List. Click on the aircraft desired, and the Classic Calendar for that aircraft will display for the month selected.

NINE AIRCRAFT NOW AVAILABLE IN MULTI-PLANE QUICKSTART FILE — Previously, the Multi-Plane QuickStart file allowed you to enter up to six aircraft in your fleet. Now that number has been increased to nine aircraft.

FBO NOTE — An FBO-specific note is being implemented for NAVPAK Version 17.5. This note will be accessed when the FBO Details screen is displayed, and can be shown when the FBO Details is printed.
